教長：需5年研究 承認統考不納百日新政

（吉隆坡6日訊）教育部長馬智禮說，政府需在5年內詳細研究，是否承認獨中統考文憑。

他於週一在下議院以書面回答行動黨南蘭區國會議員劉強燕的問題時表示，承認統考文憑是其中一項希盟的競選宣言，以成為進入本地國立大學的條件之一，但是承認統考文憑並非納入希盟的百日新政內



“此事無法操之過急，教育部相信需整體看待此事，不能倉促決定。此外，承認統考也不是希盟百日承諾。”

“任何有關統考的決定將會仔細研究和征求各有關方面的意見，於5年的執政期間內做出決定。”

馬智禮也補充，基於獨中並不在國家教育體系中，所以政府並不會撥款予有關學校。



“任何有關發展撥款可向財政部尋求分配。”

Status UEC ditentukan dalam tempoh 5 tahun

Keputusan muktamad untuk mengiktiraf Sijil Peperiksaan Bersepadu (UEC) hanya akan dibuat selepas kajian menyeluruh dibuat dalam tempoh lima tahun.




Menteri Pendidikan Dr Maszlee Malik berkata walaupun Pakatan Harapan (HARAPAN) menyentuh mengenai pengiktirafan UEC dalam manifestonya ia tidak termasuk dalam 10 janji 100 hari mereka.
Katanya kementerian akan menjalankan kajian menyeluruh, mengumpul pandangan daripada pelbagai pihak yang ada kepentingan dan mengambil kira kepentingan bahasa Melayu serta keharmonian kaum.

"Kementerian akan memastikan isu UEC tidak akan menjejaskan kedudukan dan kepentingan bahasa Melayu, serta tidak menjejaskan perpaduan serta keharmonian antara kaum di negara ini," katanya.
Maszlee berkata demikian dalam jawapan bertulis terhadap soalan asal Alice Lau (HARAPAN-Lanang) yang meminta Kementerian Pendidikan menyatakan bilakah UEC akan diiktiraf.
Kata Maszlee isu UEC perlu dilihat secara menyeluruh dan tidak wajar sesuatu keputusan mengenainya dibuat secara terburu-buru.




Mengenai soalan kedua Lau yang bertanya tentang peruntukan kerajaan kepada sekolah-sekolah menengah Cina, Maszlee berkata Kementerian Pendidikan tidak menyediakan dana bagi sekolah menengah persendirian Cina (SMPC).

"Hal ini kerana SMPC tidak tergolong di bawah mana-mana kategori institusi pendidikan dalam sistem pendidikan kebangsaan.

"Mengenai peruntukan pembangunan, sebarang permohonan - jika ada - akan diputuskan oleh agensi pusat," katanya.

The government will decide on whether to recognise the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) after a detailed study within the next five years.

In a parliamentary written reply, Education Minister Maszlee Malik said although Pakatan Harapan had promised to recognise UEC as a pathway to public university entrance, this, however, cannot be rushed.



 “The Education Ministry believes this matter must be seen in a holistic manner and a decision cannot be rushed. (Moreover,) the recognition of UEC is not part of Harapan's 100-day pledges.

 “Any decision on UEC (will be made within) five years of the new administration following a detailed study… (which will) solicit views from various interested parties through consensus, while ensuring the importance of Bahasa Melayu and inter-ethnic harmony,” he added.

Maszlee was responding to Lanang MP Alice Lau, who had asked when Harapan's pledge to recognise UEC would be fulfilled.




Lau also asked whether Chinese private schools would receive government funding, to which Maszlee replied in the negative because such schools were not part of the national education system.

“Any development allocation should be sought from federal government agencies,” he said.

Maszlee previously told Parliament that his ministry would not fund private schools and such institutions should seek funding from the treasury. - Mkini
